Rules & Info
1. We are using the 2015 BJCP Cider Style Guidelines! We are ONLY accepting BJCP C1a New World Cider, C1b English Cider, C2b Cider with Other Fruit, C2e Cider with Herbs & Spices, C2f Specialty Cider. NO Perry
2. Home Cider Makers from Michigan only are allowed to enter this year. There will be a total of no more than 100 paid entries. All entries must be made by the registrant on a home system. Please do not submit entries under the names of significant others, insignificant others, siblings, offspring, distant relatives, estranged roommates, pets, fictional characters, imaginary friends or anyone else.
* Entries require two (2) plain, unlabeled/unmarked bottles or cans. 12 oz containers or smaller are required. Unmarked caps are required. Please print labels to drop off with your beer. These will be provided through the registration system. Attach them with rubber bands, NO tape please.
* The entry fee is $15.00 per entry. This must be paid through PayPal through the registration app, Cash delivered with your bottles (at your own risk), or Venmo to @Cass_RiverHC
* The total number of contest entries will be capped at 100. Do not delay in submitting your entry. Once the cap is reached no additional entries will be accepted.
* Online registration be will open on January 15, 2025 through February 15, 2025, or until 100 entries are submitted, whichever occurs first.
* All entries must be dropped off between February 1, 2025 through February 15, 2025. Shipped Entries must be received by February 19, 2025. Entries will not be accepted after that date. If mailing an entry, please include paperwork.

All entries in the CRHC Michigan Cider Madness are judged by industry professionals and/or trained judges according to the standards of style, not in comparison to each another, with the exception of the Best of Show rounds.
A reminder too that we are looking for judges and stewards to help us. Judging will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at The Castle Museum of Saginaw County, Saginaw MI. Registration for judges and stewards will open January 15, 2025

Intra Club Competitions
Brewer of the Year BOTY is our yearlong competition for active CRHC Members. You can earn points with Competition victories/Beer of the Night Voting at our Monthly Meetings/running an Education Segment at a Meeting/Donating kegs for events and more!
Gilded Santa
Is our annual Club Member only competition where you brew with the ingredient you receive at our 'White Elephant' exchange we have at our annual Holliday Party. There is an awesome trophy that you get to something to during your year as Champ!
OktoBREW ReView
In September, in honor of the Oktoberfest season, the Club holds a group brewing day where you can register for donated base & specialty malts & hops. You can brew what every style you like and then these are judged in November.
Mid Michigan Homebrew Club Challenge
Our Club challenged our other area Clubs to brew three specific styles for a head-to-head challenge to win the coveted Michigan Mash Paddle. We have a seperate tasting event to choose who represents the Club
